The Mercedes-Benz is one of the companies known for the production of various series of luxurious vehicles. One of the company’s flagship cars are mid-sized crossovers, the most prominent crossovers in the US market has been GLK series. There seems to be a change in-game plan as this model has been replaced with an improved model dubbed as 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300. The vehicle is sharing the same architectural platform with C-class models. It is a bit longer than the older version GLK. It also features a stronger engine and comes with a stylish interior and some modifications in the exterior to achieve an elegant look.

The interior of GLC300 looks luxurious; it is made from high-quality materials that give a stylish look. The seats are made of leather upholstery, to add-on that they are adjustable to enhance the comfort of the occupant. Without forgetting, the seats are also ventilated. The inside of the vehicle has an increased space to increase the ability to carry more luggage. Thanks to the additional length and width. The cabin offers an improved user interface, which is easy to use. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 also comes with an improved sunroof, which enables the vehicle to have a lively feel, climate control, navigation system and an infotainment system.
There is quite some improvement in the GLC300 exterior. The vehicle is 4.6 inches longer than GLK and 2 inches wider. Although it looks bigger, the overall weight is greatly reduced due to the use of aluminum in various vehicles components such as suspensions, panels and sub frames. The use of aluminum has made it possible to lower the vehicle’s overall weight by 175 lb. The crossover features a much-extended front part with a wide grille. The LED headlamps are strategically configured to offer a wide view during the night. The hood is contoured with the vehicle having a parallel body conformation with the ground. The latter is designed to look sportier.
2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 – Engine and Transmission:
The GLC300 SUV is getting its power from 2 liters four-cycle turbo engine. The engine is able to produce 241 horsepower and a torque of 273 pound-feet. The power is hitched to a 9- speed automatic transmission silky smooth. This cross over is capable of accelerating 60 mph with only 6.5 seconds. The vehicle will offer a different drive that is; rear wheel drive and all wheel drive. The fuel economy of the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC300 on average is 21 mpg while driving in city and 28 mpg in the highway. This implies that the latter is more economical in terms of fuel use. Mercedes-Benz is planning to introduce a plug-in vehicle based on GLC platform probably in the year 2017.
