Nissan is back in business with a new 2016 Nissan Pathfinder. This medium-sized compact SUV which has been under the spotlight since 1985 is back with a redesigned new avatar, all set to dominate its market. A four-door, seven seat arrangement, this car has that thing in it to be both your off road friend and family car simultaneously.

2016 Nissan Pathfinder – Exterior and Interior Design

External facade on this 2016 Nissan Pathfinder will be remaining pretty much the same as its predecessor with minor changes here and there. It is heavily based on Nissan’s D platform designing.  Grille up front has been enhanced in its size and has been given a nice round design on its edges which adds a serene touch to its rough and tough appearance. A stronger rear bumper and an extra number of the tailgate have also been provided by Nissan for the car’s rear end. Resting on aluminum alloy wheels, Nissan Pathfinder also has a sporty rear spoiler adoring its back end. There has been no compromise in lighting as both its pair of front lights and tail lights have received LED lighting technology. A nice, comfortable and spacious interior is what 2016 Nissan Pathfinder is boasting all about. Though not much changes from its predecessor are likely to be seen, a few minor improvements will make it feel different and promote way up the ranks of cars with luxurious interior designing. Having more than enough room in order to comfortably and snugly fit in seven adult human beings, this car should a serious option if you go on holidays with your family in a family car frequently.

Not only seating capacity and space, this car also has ample leg room and head room coupled with that humongous seven people seating capacity, to ensure that there is no uncomfortable factors whatsoever. Nissan has included a high-tech instruments cluster in this 2016 Pathfinder. A new 360-degree camera produces a quite clear graphical image of the surrounding area. Also available with this Nissan Pathfinder is a panorama dual moonroof. Other exciting new features included are an 8-inch LCD display with a navigation system from Nissan along with weather updates facility and satellite radio, DVD player and monitor, automatic climate control and an audio system with 13 speakers.

Engineers at Nissan will be making use of materials with lower weights so as to reduce the weight of the car. They have reportedly been successful in casting off and reducing an astonishing figure of 4200 pounds! It looks like as if Nissan Pathfinder has been on a strict diet schedule. To achieve this feat, engineers have put materials like lightweight aluminum panels and carbon fiber in building its body, to good use.  2016 Nissan Pathfinder will run on 3.5L DOHC aspirated V6 engine producing 260 HP and 240lb-ft of torque. 2.5L supercharged 4-cylinder engine with the electric motor, producing 250 HP and 242lb-ft torque A hybrid model, 30% better, is also probable. This will be mated with CVT Xtronic transmission with an economy of around 20-25 mpg.

2016 Nissan Pathfinder will be available at around $27.000-$45.000. There is no official word when is going to be released, only we know that will be in 2016.
