The 2017 Jeep Compass is an SUV that is set to provide a full redesign of the existing models of the Compass. This new model will be based on the same platforms as the FIAT 500X and the Jeep Renegade. With the discontinuation of the Jeep Patriot mid-2016, this SUV will become the second-most-affordable make in the line-up after the Renegade and is set to provide competition to the rival Nissan Qashqai. 2017 Jeep Compass – Engine and Performance
There is no official information about the Engine that the 2017 Jeep Compass will use. However, the speculations are that it will use a similar engine to that of the Jeep Renegade. This, in turn, implies that the engine will be a 2.0 L four cylinders turbocharged that will generate an output power of 158 horsepower and a second engine option 2.4 L that is expected to produce an output power of 172- horsepower. Also, alternative transmissions will be available, the first one being the 5-speed manual transmission, a two-speed CVT and a six-speed auto-manual and automatic transmissions. The expected fuel economy is estimated to be around 22-28 mpg when in the city and 24-31 mpg when on the highway.
2017 Jeep Compass – Price and Release Dates
